Happy New Year to everyone - best wishes for 2008.

Very successful turn out at yesterdays New Year event. Unfortunately, the annual Oban Camanachd v Lochside Rovers match was postponed at Ganavan but at last minute 28 players played 2 hours of shinty @ Atlantis Leisure.

Great start to the preseason arrangements which at the moment include: (more detail to follow)

2nd Feb: Oban Camanachd vs Lochside Rovers - tbc

9th Feb: Oban Camanachd/Lochside Rovers vs Kilmory (Mossfield)  plus U14's vs Cushendall Hurley (Ganavan)

16th Feb : Skye vs Oban Camanachd (plus U14 match between both clubs)

23rd Feb: Oban Camanachd vs Fort William

2008 - Player Update
Written by daniel
Sunday, 06 January 2008

Oban Camanachd are happy to announce the following player updates . This will be major boost to our club as we all prepare for season 2008.

Liam MacIntyre - will once again play in red/black after successful spell with Fort William.

Andrew "Papa" MacCuish - U21 international has transfered from Oban Celtic and will prove a valauble addition.

David "Skinny" MacInnes - returns after an unfortunate 12 month suspension. experience, skills & fitness will bolster our young squad.

Craig MacMillan - returns following spell with Oban Celtic and has already shown desire to play at highest level.

Christopher Munro - U21 international will return after missing most of last season because of basic training with RAF.

All of these individual players will bolster our playing squads but as such will increase the playing resources that are vital to performing at highest level week in/out.

The boys are all in twenties and will enable us to secure our place in what will once again be a very competitive Premier League and Cup Campaign.
